Lloyd's is an institution along Highway 280. They started out in a smaller place further out toward Chelsea, but the current building opened in 1978 -- back when there was nothing else there except a small grocery/gas across the road. Today ... just thinking about that stretch of 280 can try ones' sanity.

But Lloyd's is worth it. For years it was a favorite place for my family to eat. It's still good as it ever was; Lloyd's was serving wonderful sweet iced tea in 32-oz. glasses long before anybody else was doing it.

Classic comfort-food doesn't come any finer.
