My wife and our children were traveling through Copperhill on our way to the Ocoee River for a rafting trip when we passed this restaurant. The New York has apparently been there for years, and we have passed right by it for a long time when we visit the area, but this time my wife noticed all the crisp, new white tablecloths on the tables and we decided to stop. The place has a whole newer, cleaner look to it. Its still in the old, historic building with the hotel rooms upstairs, but apparently there is some new ownership according to the waitress, and they have made some really needed changes to the decor and the menu. We had the daily special which was great southern cooking. Grilled salmon is a nice item to find up in these parts, where most everything is overfried and not very good for you. They also have some good salads, my caesar salad was great! The vegetables also had some nice seasoning to them and it all was served on nice china. Hope they keep up the good work!
